Our
Behavioral Obedience Course is for dogs over 6 months
old.
The
first class meets without your dog. During the first
class we will
explain and demonstrate effective training
techniques. You will learn
how to prevent and manage many
common behavior problems.
There are many different training styles. Our programs
are based on a gradient guidance based training method.
Dogs are always asked to do things that they can
achieve. Your timely guidance assures their success.
We specialize in providing a variety of cross-training
exercises to assure that your dog enjoys learning as
they develop a broad base of life skills.
We don't just teach your dog commands we teach your dog
concepts.
Cross-training is a technique of combining a variety of
training disciplines
to establish a solid base of communication and control.
Cross Training combines exercises from the following
categories.
Basic Obedience Commands:
"sit", "sit-stay", "down", "down-stay", "stand",
"stand-stay", "stay", "come" when they are called and
walk nicely on a leash.
Behavioral Commands:
"leave-it", "off", "wait", "get busy" and "move"
Directional Commands:
"over", "under",
"back", and "around"
Trick Training:
Trick training helps your dog
understand the training process. Your dog will quickly
learn that words have meaning and success is rewarding.
Obstacle confidence
training: Your dog will
learn to navigate a variety of training obstacles.
Obstacles build your dog's self confidence as they learn
to understand and trust you.
Your dog will learn to go
through tunnels and over a variety of ramps, stairs,
jumps, and wobbly boards
Play Training:
Your
dog can learn life skills as you play together. Dogs
love retrieving games, find-it and even hide & seek.

dog learn to behave even when they are excited and
distracted. |
